Dr. Darragh Loftus – MB BCh BAO, MICGP, Dip MSK

Our team of doctors in Boyle aim to provide person centred, continuing, comprehensive  and coordinated wholeperson healthcare to our patients and families. This includes prevention, health promotion, early intervention for those at risk, and the management of acute, chronic and complex conditions.  They understand that health, illness and disease are ultimately personal experiences, and that their principal role is to the patient's needs. Their values and desired health outcomes always remain central to the doctors evaluation and management processes.  This special long term relationship builds mutual knowledge, understanding and trust: all essential elements in a therapeutic relationship which generates the potential for healing, empowerment and beneficial change.

Our Practice nurses aim to provide you with an efficient, quality service in a caring and helpful manner. Their comprehensive service includes dealing with wounds and dressings, suture removal, advice on minor ailments, travel and childhood immunisation, maternity, cervical screening and STI screening as well as all aspects of health promotion.

Our reception staff are probably the first members of the Practice team you will meet or talk to.  They aim to be as courteous and as helpful as possible.  They assist in the efficient day-to-day running of the Practice and support the services we provide. When you telephone the Surgery, the receptionists will ask you for a few details. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that we can help you in the most appropriate way. Strict confidentiality is maintained by all staff on any matter relating to the health of our patients. Reception staff are here to help you, but their job can be very demanding and they are often very busy, so your patience is appreciated.  Our friendly team at reception can help you with ordering prescriptions, appointment bookings and general enquiries.
